Christine J. Weisfelder, President

Chris Weisfelder became a lifetime member of Toledo Sister Cities in 1997. She was Treasurer and Volunteer Chairperson when TSCI hosted the Sister Cities International Annual Conference in 2002. She became Treasurer again in 2010 and was elected President in 2012.

Chris grew up in international business and has lived and worked on four continents. She worked as an auditor before earning a Ph.D. in international business from The University of Michigan and she has taught international business, international finance and international accounting at Bowling Green State University, the University of Toledo and The University of Michigan.

Chris is a member of The Toledo-Szeged Committee and has visited Szeged as well as Tanga and Toyohashi. For the Great Lakes Consortium, she has been a leader or participant in delegations from Toledo to Botswana/Zambia, Tanzania and Lebanon. In 2008 she was recognized as the Ohio International Woman of the Year.
