CHAPERONS' TASKS

• Be aware of the mental and physical health of his or her students
• Monitor and correct student’s behavior when necessary
• Attend all programmed events
• Provide additional support to teachers as needed
• Travel with students to all program locations, on and off-site
• Notify program coordinators of any issues (delays, illness, etc.) during travel
• Help ensure students arrive to program events on-time
• Travel with students to program: same flights from home country location and in and out of Detroit
• Inform program coordinators of student related issues
• Be willing to respond to any situation in which his or her help may be needed

It is the chaperon's responsibility to read through and attend to the norms on this list. In addition, they will be expected to understand, respect, and follow through IYA Camp Norms.
