Hans is a co-founder of the Delmenhorst Sister City relationship   formalized in 2002 and served for many years as the Committee President.

He was appointed to the TSCI Board by Mayor Jack Ford and accompanied Mayor Ford to Delmenhorst, Germany for the recipical signing of the Sister City Agreement.

 He was elected Vice President of the TSCI Board and a year later elected President and served many years in this capacity.

In 2006 Hans traveled to Toledo, Spain to help celebrate the 75^th anniversary of the Toledo, Ohio and Toledo, Spain relationship.  On behalf of the City of Toledo he accepted the Royal Foundation of Culture Award personally from King Juan Carlos.

Hans graduated from the University of Toledo and has worked in the business management field for over 40 years. He has held various leadership roles with business, educational and social organizations.
